There's just something about a Lockhart stamp. I love little designs. And because many of their stamps are small they color up quickly which make them a good choice for beginners.
My card today is for the Clean and Simple (CAS) Challenge 177 at SCS using navy, olive, and white in the design. The image is colored with Copics and die cut using Spellbinders Labels Three. I've used the challenge colors on the inside panels and included a Lockhart stamp sentiment, "Sit back and relax". You might be asking yourself why I titled the card, "Lampy" on SCS today. Our grown children have a lamp in their living room they named, "Lampy." Yep, they're the ones who are going to be parents (laughing). If you knew our families you'd know we're a funny bunch. It doesn't take much to get us giggling. In a few days I think I know someone who will be sitting in her favorite chair.
The card is small (4x4 finished size) so it's nicely proportioned with stamped image. I chose to use whisper white cardstock as my base; this allows the challenge colors to provide the contrast. Now the small colored image has the depth it needs to stand on its own. Although the piece only contains a lamp and chair, the radient light provides warmth and the illusion you've entered a cozy room. A perfect place to sit back, relax and enjoy a good book (or hold a sweet bundle).
Plain or fancy good things do come in little packages.
Such a great cozy scene, love it.
ReplyDeleteWE will have to do a tandem, tag team rocking when he gets here, won't we? Should we get a stop watch so we can time our slots for rocking? Wouldn't that make the kids laugh? Love this and you also, DAF
